WW1 Podcast with Paul Reed
In this episode we walk the Somme from Ovillers to Mouquet Farm; ‘Moo-Cow Farm’ or ‘Mucky Farm’ as the soldiers called it. Here we examine the attacks by Australian, Canadian and finally British units, discovering just how costly this corner of the Somme battlefields was in 1916.
Thanks to Nick Stone for the ‘Ghost Image’ of Mouquet Farm.

A riveting podcast with a reading list to match. It was quite a coup seeing Charles Carrington at your first WFA meeting! Until googling him just I had no idea that he was interviewed on the BBCs Great War programme.

Yes, he’s on one of the iPlayer episodes I think. Thanks, Stephen.
