  1. Another great podcast. Heading back to the Somme in a couple of weeks for a few days with yet more great information to bring to the trip. Thank you.

  2. Hi Paul- Great Q&A! Out of curiosity, what are the books that focus on intelligence and the Great War you mention in the second question? It’s an area I’d like to research more.
    Thank you!

  3. A great Q and A and good choice of photographs. I have seen the “trench raid” photo many times before, but the one taken a few seconds later when they are starting to leave the trench. I have never seen this one before with the soldier looking back at the camera. A very powerful image.

  4. Some time ago I suggested inventions of the First War era that are still with us today as a possible topic for a Q&A segment. I haven’t heard anything since, so I was just wondering if you don’t think it appropriate. Please advise at your convenience. Thanks.

    • Thanks – I checked back through my emails and see this was an idea for a whole episode, sent in last April. I’ve got it on my list, but it’s not quite fitted in yet!
