  2. Thanks again Paul. I’ve been to Lonsdale Cemetery and the Leipzig Salient many tlmes, but I’ve always wanted to walk the ground around the Nab but wasn’t sure how accessible it was. Thanks to another fantastic podcast I now can.

  4. An excellent podcast Paul and to borrow another quote from the 1976 documentary, “a record of a massacre”.

I passed Crucifix Corner on my own self guided walk last year (from Sheffield Memorial Park back to Albert), accompanied of course with your book!

  5. What a coincidence! I walked from Thiepval to Nab Valley and the Lonsdale Cemetery to the Thiepval Memorial on 29.7.24. It was great to listen to your podcast and learn about the history of the places I saw. There is an bigger wooden cross at Nab Valley now.

  7. Superb as usual, brought back a lot of memories as we stayed in Aveluy on our first visit to the Somme. Went to the crucifix but unfortunately did not do the walk.
