WW1 Podcast with Paul Reed
In the latest Old Front Line YouTube Channel Battlefield Vlog we return to Verdun and visit the memorial to the Voie Sacrée, the important lifeline into Verdun in 1916. We then continue to the La Pavée Cemetery in Verdun itself to look at the story of France’s Unknown Soldier, and end at the Cemetery and Ossuary at Douaumont and discuss the legacy of Verdun.
Hi Paul Visited Verdun and area for the 3rd time a couple of weeks ago – thought provoking battlefield which I find an amazing and very sobering place to visit.

Very poignant Paul, your reflection on the meaning of the Ossuary and what is presently happening in Eastern Europe was perfectly succinct.
Verdun is definitely on my to do list.
All the best Mike
