WW1 Podcast with Paul Reed
Amidst the dark trees of Polygon Wood near Ypres, bunkers and old shell craters tell the story of the Great War in Flanders. This week we walk the cemeteries and memorials around the wood, follow the ANZACs, and discover the story of the Black Watch in 1914.

Paul took us to the edge of Polygon Wood where my wife’s Great Uncle died in October 2014, his name on the Menin Gate. Our trip was guided by Paul and he was so informative throughout.

As moving and informative as ever. The photographs of the total destruction of the landscape and the men and the stories they told are truly moving.

Another fascinating podcast. Great story about Captain Dunn. Polygon Wood is one place that I haven’t been with Leger. With any luck I will remedy that in the not too distant future.
